Trapped Driver Rescued After Going Off Side of Road
An airman from the 9th Space Operations Squadron was rescued by Vandenberg and Santa Barbara County firefighters after a crash.
The airman lost control of his Hyndai Elantra and went down hillside on the southbound side of State Route 1 near San Antonio Road just after noon Friday.
He was trapped until rescuers arrived.
The injured airman was transferred via California Shock Trauma Air
Rescue Ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage hospital.
