Wildcat Lounge Customers Donate to Typhoon Victims

When the deadly Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines earlier this month workers at the Wildcat Lounge in Santa Barbara found a way to help.

The lounge held a Philippine Recover Benefit Wednesday night.

Customers donated at least $10 at the door and bought raffle tickets for prizes donated by dozens of businesses including Casa Blanca Restaurant, Indochine and Area 5.1 Winery.

The recent storm hit close to home for Wildcat bartender Maria Hintog who has relatives who survived the typhoon. Hintog said she was grateful that so many businesses donated.

All of the proceeds and 20 percent of the lounge’s bar sales will got to the red Cross to help.

To make a donation visit the Red Cross Facebook page, RedCross.org, or call 1-800-REDCROSS.
