Carl’s Jr. Restaurants Sold to Atlanta Firm

The Carpinteria-based parent of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s has been sold to an Atlanta private equity firm that owns other restaurant chains.

CEO Andy Puzder is expected to remain at the helm of the restaurant chain. Carl’s Jr will now be a part of Roark affiliated companies, which include Arby’s, Cinnabon, Carvel, Wingstop, Corner Bakery and a number of others.

The price of the sale has not been disclosed.
