Santa Maria Welcomes New Edwards Theatre
In just a few days, Santa Maria will officially welcome the much buzzed-about Edwards Theatre 14 at the Town Center Mall.
The new public was invited to get a glimpse of the new theatre.
On Sunday, movie-goers were treated to $2 movies, $2 drinks and $2 popcorn. The special preview opening will run until Tuesday night. All the money raised will go to non-profit organizations in the community.
On Thursday, the theatre will officially have its grand opening with the “Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”
The new theatre also has an RPX screening room with the latest surround sound technology.
It has taken over a year to build the theatre, and more than 3,000 people are expected to attended opening night.
