Ventura County Sheriff Recovering After Mild Heart Attack

Well wishes are pouring in for Ventura County’s sheriff. Sheriff Geoff Dean, 56, suffered a mild heart attack Wednesday, while on a trip to the state capital.

Dean had surgery in a Sacramento hospital.

His staff said he is already on the road to recovery and feeling well.

Dean hopes to return to work soon.

Until then, his two assistant sheriff’s John Crombach and Gary Pentis will be in charge.

Get-well cards may be sent to Sheriff Dean at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura, CA 93009
