Baobab Fruit Powder Arrives in Stores and Called Super Food
A new product called Kaibae Baobab fruit powder has arrived on the market and is called a super food, because of its health benefits.
It was displayed recently at the expo for the Santa Barbara International Marathon.
The powder comes from the Baobab tree in Northern Ghana.
Dr. Luc Maes, a naturopathic physician says there is a growing demand for these products.
He says the product is high in vitamin C, potassium, calcium, antioxidants and fiber.
It is now showing up on the shelves of of local markets including many health food stores.
