3 Arrested For Death of Homeless Man
Three men were arrested over the weekend, accused of an assault that led to the death of a homeless man in mid September.
On September 16, Richard Alden Boden, 51, was found beaten in an area called “Granny’s Field” west of San Marcos High School. He was taken to the hospital, but did not recover from his injuries. Family members took Boden off life support in mid October. An autopsy confirmed his death was due to the severe beating he sustained.
Three men have been arrested for the attack. Carlos Medina, 44; Jonathan Andrade, 20; and Roman Romero, 18 were all known to spend time in “Granny’s Field.”
Medina was arrested in Pasadena on Sunday morning. Romero and Andrade were arrested in the Santa Barbara area.
All three were charged with murder and were booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on $1 million bail.
