Multi-car Accident Shuts Down Highway 101
A 5-car pileup on Highway 101 in Oxnard sent several people to the hospital. It happened about 12:30 Thursday morning just south of the Rice Avenue exit.
According to the CHP website, at least two car got into an accident, and then were hit by another car. Two people were taken to the Ventura County Medical Center.
The extent of their injuries is unknown.
All southbound lanes were closed for a time, but have since been reopened.
