Crazy Good Bread Co. Plans Tasty Grand Opening

With one taste of her bread, owner Rossell Studer says you will say it’s not just good it’s “Crazy Good.” She felt that way at the first bite and that’s how she came up with the name.

Her Crazy Good Bread Co. store and headquarters have a grand opening celebration Sunday at 4191 Carpinteria Ave. in Carpinteria , from 12 pm – 3 pm.

Studer says her bread is made with high quality products, and they don’t rush the process like some loaves you might chose from your store shelves.

“I call it bread the way bread was meant to be made,” said Studer. “So a hundred years ago a lot of time and effort was put into products and bread in particular. Bread when it’s made with a natural starter, has a much longer shelf life than bread with a commercial yeast that was designed to speed up the proofing process.”

The event Sunday will also include Island Brewing Co. beer, Carr wine, and other food that goes well with fresh bread.

They call it a “Breaducation.”

The new store sells unique varieties including orange-chocolate, lavender country, fig marsala, and pumpkin spice pecan.

A portion of the proceeds from the grand opening event will benefit Girls Inc. of Carpinteria.
