Oxnard Schools Locked Down Temporarily Due to Parolee Manhunt

Ventura police said a manhunt led to a school lockdown in Oxnard.

Police said they were looking for a wanted parolee on Terrace Avenue Friday.

They saw Robert Reeves, 36, of Ventura, get into a car with two Oxnard men and a pursuit began.

Oxnard police helped secure schools in the area including Channel Islands High.

Parents had to wait for the ordeal to end before picking up their kids.

Police found Reeves hiding in a backyard on Boston Drive.

Officers said they also arrested Ronald Rayas and Tomamalo Saipale after finding drugs and a replica gun in their car.
