DP Football Closing in on Playoff Berth

After losing three of their first four games, Dos Pueblos has found it’s balance.

The Chargers are now 4-4 on the year and they are off to a 2-0 start in the Channel League as they are excelling in all phases of the game. They are solid on defense, they are good in the kicking and return game and now their offense is firing on all cylinders.

Quarterback Barrett Burnes is a steady influence on the team and is playing mistake-free football. Matt Sessler and Lashon Bell are his favorite targets. Bell, who also plays some quarterback, adds to a potent running attack when he lines up behind center. Tyler Welch is racking up the touchdowns and Angel Davison is also playing a nice role in the backfield. Add it all up and DP figures to be playing after the regular season ends in a few weeks.
