‘Movember’ Video Shot in Santa Barbara

Anyone with a real or fake mustache was welcomed to be in a fundraising video in Santa Barbara over the weekend. It was part of an effort to create awareness for the “Movember” event to raise money for prostate cancer education and prevention.

A final segment of the video was shot in the Santa Barbara Funk Zone Sunday evening. Those participating wore a mustache, or held up the picture of a famous person with a mustache such as actor Tom Selleck or Yosemite Sam, the cartoon character.

The video will be released November 1, to kick off the “Movember” event. Many groups are creating teams to raise money.

Supporters can log on and make a contribution on line.
