Firefighters Don Pink Tees

NFL football players aren’t the only ones wearing pink to promote breast cancer awareness, Firefighters are too.

Santa Barbara City Firefighters said it’s their third year of going pink for cancer.

During October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they have added pink to their fire fighting wardrobe.

It’s a voluntary dress code at Station One.

One firefighter said the color, which replaces their usual navy blue garb, takes some getting used to.

People seem to notice. A woman walking by the station Thursday afternoon complimented the crew.

Other fire stations are going pink, too.
