Blosser Road car crash and carjacking ends fatal

Santa Maria police have released the name of the woman killed in Sunday’s car accident, but they are still looking for the man driving the car. Who also kidnapped and carjacked two people at gunpoint.

Police identified 24-year-old Tina Antoniette Ramos as the woman who died at the scene Sunday afternoon.

Friends and loved ones of Ramos are leaving comments via Facebook to share their thoughts and prayers with the family after Sunday’s tragic accident.

She was the passenger of a car that was stolen a few days earlier.

Police say the car was going northbound on Blosser Road when it lost control and hit a light pole before crossing the five lanes and landing on bushes.

There wasn’t anything that rescue teams could do to save her. After the accident, the driver pulled a gun and carjacked another vehicle.

He ran away, leaving behind two people and their vehicle.

Police are still looking for the driver of the car. They urge the public if they know any information about the driver or his whereabouts, please contact the Santa Maria Police Department.
