Train Hits Pedestrian Near Rincon

First responders said a woman is in critical condition after being struck by a train Wednesday night.

It happened around 7 p.m. on the tracks at Bates Road and the 101 Freeway near Carpinteria.

Investigators have not said why the woman was on the tracks.

The area was cleared in about at hour.
