Fire Sparks Near Mission Canyon
A fire broke out near Mission Canyon around 8:20 p.m. Sunday.
A resident in the area said he could see flames burning in the dry brush on Las Canoas Road.
When crew arrived, about a half acre of grass was burning. Luckily, there was no wind to spread the fire.
The flames were contained around a half hour later.
Firefighters found a power line down in the area and are looking into whether it sparked the blaze.
