Cal Fire Fights Blaze During Red Flag Warning

Cal Fire responded to a nearly 5-acre blaze on Saturday afternoon.

It happened near Cuesta Grade. Firefighters fought the fire from the ground and air. Although the fire is contained, they are still on standby because for the last two days Santa Barbara County has been on a red flag warning.

In Santa Barbara County, fire crews are fully staffed and ready in case a major fire breaks out.

The warm temperatures and low humidity together with high winds is a concern for officials.

County fire departments recommend residents take precaution during the red flag warning. The warning is expected to last into Sunday evening.
