Fire Causes Major Damage to Capinteria Home

Just after 10 a.m., Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District responded to a home on fire on the 4600 block of Ninth Street on Friday.

Sixteen firefighters were on the scene and were able to knock down the fire at 10:43 a.m. Engines from Montecito Fire Protection District and Ventura County Fire also arrived to help contain the fire.

Officials said all occupants were out of the house once crews arrived at the home. One resident suffered a minor injury from the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
