Driving Lesson Leads to Fatal Crash
A woman killed in a Ventura car crash was learning how to drive. Ventura police say her cousin was in the front passenger seat teaching her how to drive when she veered off the road and into some trees. The fatal accident happened on Telegraph Road near Petit Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
Police identified the driver as 20-year-old Louris Balat. Her cousin was critically injured. Three passengers in the back seat are recovering from moderate injuries.
