HULA TIME! Age Doesn’t Matter During Active Aging Week

Age is truly just a number for the men and women at the Samarkand.

Helen’s Hulas, a local dance group featuring members 80s and 90s, brought their Hawaiian moves to the retirement community Monday.

The Ukelele Lulus helped the group honor four centenarians, ranging in age from 100-105.

Each woman shared her secret to a long life saying laughter, keeping busy with the things you love, good genes and the good lord were the trick.

The eldest in the group, Leticia Harz, said her secret is sharing an occasional Irish coffee with a loved one.
