Vehicle Fire Briefly Shuts Down Highway 154
Highway 154 was shut down briefly late Sunday night after a minivan caught fire.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver reported sparks coming from a minivan heading north on Highway 154 near West Camino Cielo just before 11p.m. Sunday.
After the driver pulled over, the van caught fire and was completely engulfed in flames. It also caused a small brush fire on the hillside.
Several fire companies responded and quickly put out the blaze.
The fire caused the CHP to close the roadway for about an hour.
There were no reports of any injures.
