Local Ant Infestation
Ant infestations are a big problem right now. Pest control companies say they’ve been getting a lot of calls from concerned residents.
Most of the ants in California are from Argentina. They are hard to get rid of because they have formed super colonies with thousands of queen ants.
“They can survive treatments a lot easier than typical ants, which have a smaller colony with one queen,” said Joe Dipoalo with Hydrex Pest Control.
The ants are usually looking for food and water.
A pest control service or insecticides will help get rid of the ants. There are some non-toxic home remedies too. Ants tend to stay away from salt, pepper and vinegar.
