DP Breaks into Win Column Behind Welch
Tyler Welch loves to deliver a hit from his free safety position for Dos Pueblos.But it was his two long touchdown runs in the second half that knocked out Cabrillo in a 31-21 Chargers win in Goleta.
It was DP’s first win on the year while Cabrillo slipped to 0-3.
Welch scored from 67-yards out in the third quarter and his 48-yard touchdown run in which he faked out two defensive backs put the Chargers up 24-21 with under five minutes to play. DP added a late score for the final margin.
