Accused Meth Dealer Arrested

A Montecito couple was stunned to learn of illegal drugs buried among the landscaping of their back yard. Their gardener was charged with drug dealing.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Alejandro James Lopez at Lookout Park in Summerland.

Authorities claim Lopez had two pounds of meth on him at the time of the arrest.

Detectives discovered Lopez worked as a landscaper for a couple in Montecito, and that he would bury the methamphetamine in the couple’s yard.

The homeowners didn’t know what was going on until Lopez was arrested.
