UC Santa Barbara Library Going Through a Major Remodel

A $76-million addition and renovation of the UC Santa Barbara library is underway.

The project includes the demolition of an existing building which will be replaced by a new three-story structure

There will also be a complete renovation and seismic upgrade of other buildings at the current eight story library site which will remain open during the construction.

The project is scheduled to be finished in December of 2015.
