Knit Shop Hosts Book Club with Guest Novelist Leslie Lehr

With fewer brick and mortar book stores, authors are finding new places to do book signings and talks.

Cardigans Knits at 3030 State Street in Santa Barbara hosted a knitting book club event with novelist Leslie Lehr.

The award-winning author’s sixth book is entitled “What a Mother Knows.” Lehr said, “Knitting is an important theme in the book. It represents the relationship between the mother and the daughter who are at the heart of this thriller and murder mystery.” The audience knitted and asked questions about the book and what it’s like to be a writer in the age of Kindles and iPads.

“What a Mother Knows” is also available at book stores including Chaucer’s, Target and Amazon.com

Lehr is the big sister of longtime NewsChannel 3 reporter Tracy Lehr.
