Suspicious Fires Break Out Near Santa Maria
Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a small grass fire in the 3400 block of Pinewood Drive in North Tanglewood near Santa Maria about 11:50 Saturday night.
The flames were moving very slowly through light grass allowing firefighters to contain the fire to only two acres in about one hour.
Investigators arrived on scene and determined there were actually three small fires burning in the same area. They say it looks suspicious but at this point officials do not know how the fires started.
No homes were reportedly threatened and there are no reports of any injuries.
