Grandparents Proud of New Arrival

The wife of fallen firefighter Sean Misner gave birth to a healthy baby boy and named him after his father. Sean Jaxson Herbert was born August 22 in Prescott, AZ at 6 pounds, 15 ounces. The baby’s mother Amanda Misner considers those numbers significant as 6/15 was her first date with her late husband.

As baby Jaxson begins his life in Prescott, in the Santa Ynez Valley grandmother Tammy sayshis birth has brought new life into the family. Jaxson’s father was killed along with18 other hotshot firefightersin lateJune while battling a fast moving wildfire northwest of Phoenix.

Sean grew up in the Santa Ynez Valley. He attended and played football for Santa Ynez High School and married his high school sweetheart last year. She will continue to live in Prescott, where she has support from wives of other firefighters who were also killed.
