Pharmacy Robbed in Goleta
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance to locate an armed robbery suspect.
The robbery occurred at the Walgreens Pharmacy on the 5900 block of Calle Real just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Reports from the sheriff’s office said the suspect walked up to the counter, and slid the pharmacist a list of prescription medications, while showcasing a handgun in his waistband.
After the employee turned over an undisclosed amount of medication, the suspect left the facility on foot. Responding sheriff’s deputies and Santa Barbara County Air Support Unit Copter One scoured the area but were unable to locate the subject.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20, standing at approximately 5 foot 11 inches and weighing 170 pounds. He was last spotted wearing a black baseball cap, aviator sunglasses, a green plaid shirt, khaki pants and a dark jacket.
