Alleged ‘Central Coast Bandit’ to face judge
The woman accused of being the “Central Coast Bandit” is charged with 13 counts Tuesday.
According to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office police arrested Cristina Fernandez Padilla on Friday after six heists, one attempted hold-up and a police chase. Five of those were in San Luis Obispo County.
She is charged with robbery, attempted robbery and second-degree commercial burglary, to name a few of the counts.
Padilla already has two burglary convictions on her record from Monterey County back in 2005.
The Watsonville resident will make her first court appearance Wednesday morning for her arraignment.
