California’s Oldest Driver Receives New Car

105-year-old Edythe Kirchmaier is nowdriving in style.

The longtime Santa Barbara resident was given a brand-new 2013 Honda Civic from an anonymous person. The good Samaritan heard about Kirchmaier’s story and couldn’t resist.

Kirchmaier has been a volunteer at Direct Relief for the past 40 years but was having numerous car problems with her 1997 Dodge Caravan. It was jeopardizing her ability to continue to volunteer her time, until now.

Kirchmaier has a perfectdriving record. She just renewed her drivers license this past January and passed her test with flying colors.
