Still Driving at 105

At the tender age of 105, Edythe Kirchmaier still drives herself to her daily appointments.

She’s a busy lady, volunteering for the Direct Relief organization, which has been a big part of her life the past 40 years.

A recent breakdown of her minivan put the brakes on Edythe’s busy life, until Friday. With the help of a generous anonymous donor, she is now back behind the wheel. The centenarian now owns a brand-new 2013 white Honda Accord.

Leaders at the Direct Relief organization tell NewsChannel 3 the donor wanted to ensure there were no further roadblocks to Edythe’s ability to continue her volunteer work.
