Santa Barbara International Film Festival Screens Zorro Film

A classic silent film will be displayed Sunday night at the Arlington Theater as part of an annual fund raising event for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

SBIFF uses proceeds from the event to fund various programs each year, benefiting local children and community outreach.

More than 5,000 elementary school students receive field trips annually to see how movies are made. The students get the opportunity to learn the art of movie-making from well-known filmmakers.

The “Apple Box” program by SBIFF offers free movie screenings, popcorn and 3B glasses to families to promote patronizing of big screen movies.

This year the silent film classic “The Mark of Zorro” will screen at the Arlington Theater on Sunday evening, followed by a masquerade party.
