Protect yourself from identify theft by shredding old documents
Join KEYT NewsChannel 3 and Union Bank for a shredding event that aims to protect you and your family from identity theft.
The event will be held at Carpinteria High School, 4810 Foothill Road, Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Folks can shred all types and colors of paper and file folders.
There is no need to remove staples, paper clips or rubber bands. There is a six banker-box maximum.
Items that cannot be accepted are cardboard, common trash, hazardous materials, plastics or metals, CDs, DVDs or binders.
Nine tons of sensitive documents were shredded at KEYT’s last successful shred event in Solvang in March.
