SWAT training in Paso Robles school

The San Luis Obispo Regional SWAT team will have a training exercise at the Paso Robles High School from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The California Highway Patrol Air Operations Unit will also take part in this exercise. Residents in the area should expect to see the CHP helicopter flying around the high school.

The training is to educate the faculty of actions that will occur if the SWAT team ever has to deploy to the school.

The training is closed to the public. Residents are urged to stay away from the area for safety reasons.
