Bicyclist and car collide

A bicyclist needs a new front tire after colliding with a pickup on the 2700 block of De La Vina Street in Santa Barbara Tuesday night.

He scraped his left arm in the fall, but refused medical attention.

He was on his way home when he said the driver of a pickup turned without using his blinkers.

Police said it was too soon to determine the cause of the accident, but they said it was a good thing the cyclist was wearing a helmet.
