Misty May-Treanor holds volleyball clinic on the coast

You may know her best for her diving skills on the sand or maybe that she brought home gold in the London Olympic games in beach volleyball.

A three-time Olympian, Misty May-Treanor has spent her last few days out on Pismo Beach sharing her love of volleyball with young athletes from across the state. Just after five weeks after having knee surgery, newly-retired May-Treanor is out doing hands on work with kids from 8 to 18 years old.

Teaching them, diving techniques, and how to jump higher on a serve are just some of the experiences that could be seen out on the beach.

Over 70 athletes from across the state showed up each day to get some lessons, and of course, take a picture with their idol.

May-Treanor says, she loves giving back to the kids because after all they are the future of beach volleyball.
