Amanda Bynes no-show at Oxnard hearing

Troubled actress Amanda Bynes was expected to attend a conservatorship hearing at the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center in Oxnard, but Sgt. Eric Buschow said she was not in any condition to appear.

Buschow said the 27-year-old has been in a mental health facility since she set a fire in a driveway near her parents Thousand Oaks home last month.

A judge granted her mother, Lynn Bynes, conservatorship and both parents’ limited control of their daughter’s affairs.

Bynes was a child star on Nickelodeon and a network TV show. She also starred in a number of successful movies, including “Big Fat Liar.”
