Blues bounced from NBC World Series

Matt Lynch could not get the third outof the first inning and San Luis Obispocould notdig out of a 4-0 hole as they wereknocked outof the National Baseball Congress World Series 8-2 by the Wellington Heat of Kansas.

Lynch recorded the first two outs of the game but then issued a walk, three singles and a double as the Heat scored four times before the Blues batted in this elimination game. Lynch was replaced in the first inning by Blake Whitter.

San Luis Obispo cut the deficit to 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning but the Heat scored four more times in the eighth inning to put the game away.

The Blues ended up 2-2 in the tournament and 40-21 for the year.
