Amanda Bynes scheduled to appear at conservatorship hearing

Amanda Bynes’ parents are schedule to appear in a courtroom at the Juvenile Justice Center in Oxnard Friday morning and their famous daughter is supposed to appear, too.

The Oxnard courthouse on Vineyard Avenue is where conservatorship hearings take place regardless of the person’s age.

Bynes’ parents are concerned about their daughter’s mental health and finances.

Last month, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies and firefighters were called to a Thousand Oaks driveway where Bynes used gasoline to start a fire that put the actress and her dog in danger.

Her parents said she also burned through more than a million dollars of her savings.

During a rising-stars report, back in 1998, Bynes told KEYT NewsChannel 3’s Tracy Lehr she got her start at a comedy camp. Bynes said the secret to her young success was loving comedy and not letting the rejection get to her.

“The thing I’ve learned the most is to forget about it, and if you get it you get it and if you don’t you don’t, it’s theIR problem whether they like you or not,” she said.

Bynes said she liked making people laugh and hoped to do dramatic roles in the future, but in recent years her behavior has not been a laughing matter.

Bynes’ parents appear to be concerned about her mental health, suspected drug abuse and spending.

Bynes has been tweeting strange messages and photos for months.

She was placed on a psychiatric hold, but she can not be kept against her will for more than 72 hours unless a judge grants her parents guardianship.

Sgt. Eric Buschow said the judge wanted more medical information before making a limited conservatorship decision.
