Statewide Amber Alert issued
San Diego County sheriff’s officials say the bodies of a woman and child were found inside a burned house, and a man suspected of killing her may have abducted her missing children.
Sheriff’s investigators said in a statement Monday night that the body of 44-year-old Christina Anderson was found Sunday in rural Boulevard, southeast of San Diego. In the burned garage was the body of a child whose identity and manner of death remain undetermined.
Authorities wouldn’t say whether the body may be one of Anderson’s two children, 16-year-old Hannah and 8-year-old Ethan.
An Amber Alert has been issued for the two children, and officials say they may have been abducted by 40-year-old James Dimaggio.
DiMaggio owns the burned house and was in a close platonic relationship with Anderson.
