Foresters 2-0 so far at NBC World Series

It’s pretty simple, you cannot lose if you do not allow the other team to score. Behind great starting pitching and timely hitting, the Santa Barbara Foresters are off to a 2-0 start at the NBC World Series as they try and become the first team to three-peat in Wichita, Kansas since 1974.

Drew Van Orden worked seven scoreless innings on Sunday as the two-time defending champion Foresters shutout the Wellington Heat of Kansas 5-0. The Foresters won their opening game over Northwest, Washington 4-0.

Santa Barbara will play Clarinda, Iowa on Tuesday.
