Old Spanish Days Fiesta photo book arrives
A new book celebrating Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days Fiesta has arrived just in time for this year’s annual event.
Photographer Art Fisher used a social media pitch to get funding and donations to complete the book and get it to a publisher.
It worked.
The colorful publication has 640 photos from the thousands he has taken at Fiesta events since 2002.
“The book is very historically grounded with quotes from the Morning Press and the old papers when Fiesta first started and taken from some of the writings from people who said Fiesta was going to be this grand celebration for years to come.” said Fisher.
