Downtown MTD bus crashes with car
One person was sent to the hospital after a car collided with a MTD bus Tuesday.
It happened about noon on Carrillo and De La Vina streets.
Santa Barbara police said a white sedan was traveling west on Carrillo Street when the driver turned in front of a bus traveling east on the same road.
It was reported the woman said she thought the bus was going to make a left hand turn onto the one-way De La Vina Street. The woman’s car then crashed into a pole.
One bus rider was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The bus was on its way to the transit center when the accident occurred.
The bus driver was not hurt.
