Public needed to help find shooting suspect

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in trying to locate the driver of a truck who is suspected of shooting a firearm toward a woman in Nipomo on Sunday.

The victim was walking when the incident took place. The victim was then told to get into the vehicle and the two drove off.

Witnesses say the driver also fired at them as the suspect drove away. There are no reports of injuries.

Detectives are looking for a 90’s model white Chevrolet 4X4 pickup truck with extended cab, tinted windows, a gray rack against the rear cab window, and a “Z 71” sticker on the tailgate.

If you’ve seen this truck or have any information on this incident you are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 781-4550 or Crime Stoppers at 549-STOP.
