Lakey aims for repeat at US Open of Surfing

Lakey Peterson is having a blast in 2013, now she wants to win again. She returns this week to Huntington Beach, the site ofthe biggest win of her career, the 2012 US Open of Surfing.

Since winning the final event of the 2012 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour season, Lakey has been busy surfing and promoting her film. In January Lakey released her movie: Lakey Peterson, Zero to 100. It won an award at the film festival in Hamburg, Germany.

Although Lakey has had a strong surfing season, she has yet to win since last year’s US Open.
