“Zoo to You” program brings animals to Goleta library

Kids of all ages packed into the Goleta Valley Library to get an up-close and personal look at rarely seen animals.

The “Zoo to You” program is hosted by Conservation Ambassadors. The Paso Robles animal rescue teaches the importance of providing homes for displaced, abused and abandon animals.

Tuesday, several animals were on display including a small South American monkey, African porcupine, and an owl that can be found on every continent, except Antarctica.

The Santa Barbara Public Library system will host Zoo to You event on the following dates:

Wednesday, July 17 at Solvang Library, 11:00 a.m. (1745 Mission Drive, Solvang) Wednesday, July 17 at Central Library, 3:30 p.m. (40 E. Anapamu St., Santa Barbara) Thursday, July 18 at Eastside Library, 10:30 a.m. (1102 E. Montecito St., Santa Barbara) Thursday, July 18 at Montecito Library, 4:00 p.m. (1469 East Valley Road., Montecito)

Please arrive 15 minutes early as seating is limited. These performances are part of the annual free Summer Reading Program for children and teens. Youth are encouraged to visit the library, read books, and earn prizes.
