Smuggling boat found in San Simeon
A smuggling boat was found in a remote cove north of Piedras Blancas Lighthouse in San Simeon on Sunday.
Around 9:30 a.m., the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office was notified of the smuggling or panga boat.
Deputies along with State Park Rangers found evidence indicating some type of cargo had been carried away from the beach.
This boat is similar to other smuggling boats found along the Central Coast.
