Five people charged with attempted murder after early morning fight

Five people are under arrest after a fight broke out near downtown Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara Police responded to the 200 block of Cottage Grove around 3 a.m. on a call of a fight in progress. Officers found two men and two women with stab wounds. Two victims are hospitalized in stable condition.

On scene, detectives collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. The suspects are three men and two women ages ranging from 20 to 23 years old. All five suspects have been charged with attempted homicide. Detectives say this case is gang related.
