Santa Maria Police arrest San Diego man on burglary charges

Santa Maria police say 29-year-old Arthur Jackson attempted to break into several homes on the 200 block of Superior and Oakley streets but he was only successful at one home where he entered a couple’s bedroom

According to police the suspected attempted to enter another home before his was successful in the second home. One of the victims says that she heard keys and woke to and saw a male in her bedroom. When she screamed her husband woke up and chased the suspect down the street, while she called 911.

Jackson was arrested shortly after several calls were made to police by residentsdescribing the suspect. The man wasbooked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.

His bail is set to $50,000 dollars. Investigators also discovered that Jackson is currently on parole through San Diego police.
